What you’ll need to open an account

  • One valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID, such as a valid driver’s license or passport.
  • Social security number or individual taxpayer identification number.
  • Date of birth.
  • Home address.
  • Utility bill with current address information, if your address is different than the one on your photo ID.
  • If opening a custodial account for a minor, a birth certificate and Social Security card.
  • For estate accounts, a business Employer ID Number is required.  You can get an EIN for free at www.irs.gov.
  • Estate accounts require a copy of the court probate document.
