A big congratulations to FFNB Somerset employee, Andrew Cooper, on his recent promotion to Vice President/Chief Credit Officer!

Andrew was born and raised in Pulaski County and is a 2001 alumna of Somerset High School. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Kentucky in 2005. In 2015, he completed the 3-year Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Cooper has 14 years of experience in the banking industry, beginning on the teller line and quickly working his way up to branch manager. He is widely known in the community from his years as a commercial banker. For the past two years, he has served FFNB as credit administration officer in preparation for his new role.

“Thank you to Terry Pugh and the board of directors for entrusting me with the credit function of the bank. This is an exciting time to be a part of the First & Farmers National Bank family,” stated Cooper.

Cooper shares in First & Farmers’ commitment to his community and strives to highlight the bank’s mission to demonstrate responsible corporate citizenship. He has been involved with the Somerset-Pulaski Noon Rotary Club, Habitat for Humanity, and the United Way of South Central Kentucky. He is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Lake Cumberland. He and his wife, Karissa, have been married for 12 years. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and is proud to have passed that passion on to their daughter Kamryn (11) who is playing on Somerset High School’s golf team this year.

FFNB President and CEO Terry Pugh stated, “We were very fortunate to fill this position from within our bank. Andrew possesses a broad understanding of lending and is familiar with our bank’s credit culture. His knowledge and expertise will prove valuable to our bank as we continue to grow a quality and diversified loan portfolio.”

Way to go, Andrew! #FFNB #puttingyoufirst

Over the past couple of weeks, FFNB Columbia employees Carah Hatcher and Hali Wheat attended the WAIN "Back to School" Bash and the Open House at the Adair County Primary Center. First & Farmers gave away school supplies and traditional banking “Dum-Dum” suckers. At the WAIN "Back to School" Bash, FFNB participated in a giveaway, giving 3 lucky students the chance to win a $25 Visa gift card. The students really enjoyed the mood-changing pencils!

We wish each and every student GOOD LUCK as they start a new school year! #FFNB #puttingyoufirst

You go girls!!!!!

We would like to wish a very Happy Retirement to Columbia employee, Pam Burris!

Pam joined our team in August 2005. You may not have seen her face, but you have likely heard her voice. She has put her multitasking skills to good use, offering customer support as an Operations Assistant in the Columbia Bookkeeping department for almost a decade and a half!

Retirement will bring Pam the opportunity to do something many wish they had more time to do...spend time with her grandkids!

Pam wanted to share a few words with her FFNB family, "I would like to thank everyone for the calls, the lunch, and gifts that I have received in the last few days. I am excited and a little apprehensive about the new journey in my life. I have enjoyed working here and the friendships that I have made. You have become a part of my family and I will miss all of you.”

Today is her final day of work...won't you join us in wishing her well?

We will miss you, Pam! Thank you for 14 years of hard work and dedication!
